The Conficker patch (repair) from Microsoft was released in October, 2008.
Any workstation that was fully patched & updated with all Windows updates (SP3 update is not required to have this patch) cannot typically be infected with the
Conficker Virus.

The patch # for the update you should have is KB958644

It (the patch) is a malicious software removal tool that would have automatically installed if you installed all Windows updates

Follow the instructions below to see if your workstation has the update patch #KB958644
On your workstation, go to
>Start
>Control Panel
>Add or Remove Programs
> 'select' Show Updates
   (located at the top of the page)
Scroll down the page, you will see it under Windows Software updates (towards the bottom)
